It is ok to work out and eat right to be a certain size as long as it is healthy and as long as your attitude is healthy. If you start thinking that you are only ok with yourself if you are a particular size and anything else means that you are not ok with yourself, I personally don't think this attitude is particularly healthy. It doesn't leave you any wiggle room and quite frankly means a lot of the time you will have low confidence and be unhappy with yourself. Constantly feeling pressure to remain the same or get back in to your jeans. I just feel that this is not a recipe for a happy life.
So with this in mind I started searching for some inspirational pictures of women and to my horror all I came across were hundreds of posts supposedly for 'inspiration' with pictures of women like this. Please note that I have intentionally not included this picture in my post and linked it instead because I don't want it associated with my post.
After seeing all these pictures it just made me feel worse about myself. And I did not want to do a post with pictures like that. I mean how is that suppose to make you feel better, seeing pictures of woman with immaculately tones figures, super flat stomachs and the pertest bottoms you have ever seen?
Because, I want to remind myself that I don't have to be stick thin or perfectly toned to be beautiful and being what ever way I am is beautiful and feminine! Even if that means love handles and tighter than normal jeans. Ask a man what he thinks is more attractive and he will undoubtedly say the females below.
So I want to share with you my inspirations of beautiful women who I think look amazing!
>Please note that these are just a selection of women who I think have beautiful bodies. I am not saying you have to be this size or that size to be beautiful, women of all sizes are undoubtedly beautiful! I also want to add that I am not saying the woman in the picture I linked to is not ok the way she is, I am saying for me that is not a healthy size or aspiration for my body.
Love Always

I will take a look at your post lovely. I think the main thing is that what you aspire to is attainable and healthy :-)
DeleteGreat post! It is really sad how women are pitted against each other these days and are felt unattractive no matter their size. As much as I don't agree with the fashion industry using predominately size zero models, I am also not a fan of the campaigns labelling very thing girls as disgusting. What we need is to be accepting of all sizes - we are all beautiful no matter what.

I think that is a very accurate statement Joy. Women of all sizes are beautiful!
DeleteI think that the most important thing is to be happy in our body.
ReplyDeleteI think so too and not to compare ourselves to one another x
DeleteAll these women look fantastic, and you do need to give yourself a break because you are absolutely beautiful and you have an amazing figure.
ReplyDeleteA personal role model of mine is Holly Willoughby! She's a lovely women inside and out with a body to die for!

Thank you lovely. I suppose she is a bit bigger than most actresses which I think is great! I love her attitude and her figure is amazing!!
DeleteLobe it Ashley! I have to constantly remind myself if this, I have big shoulders and hips so will never be smaller than a 12 (and that's on a good day) we all should be able to look in the mirror and like what we see regardless if size or weight or shape. Everyone's different :)

DeleteLove this post!! I really need to start being happy with my body instead of thinking I should be this & that. Everyone is beautiful in there own way! Xx
ReplyDeleteWell said Ash... we are all beautiful in our own way and that definitely includes you gorg x
DeleteI think we all stress about our bodies too much... mine could certainly do with some healthy eating and exercising which I will be starting up this week... I am making a year commitment to get into a little better shape but I have NO desire to be really skinny... I won't mind an extra 20-30 pounds... it's the extra that I need to work on.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a clear goal lovie. I wish you much success with it. xxx
DeleteBrilliant role models, I would love to have Kelly Brook's figure and Jennifer Lawrence looks amazing! I can't believe someone has called her 'fat'!
ReplyDeleteBeing healthy is much more important than being 'skinny', if you're healthy your body settles into your ideal weight which is different for everyone xx
Yip Kelly Brook is gorgeous as is Jennifer Lawrence. She is definitely not fat, that is redic! I agree it is about being healthy xxx
DeleteThose women are all gorgeous :) x
ReplyDeletetoo right Mel x
DeleteI am constantly trying to drill it into my friends head you should just be healthy. The number on the scales is just a number! So long as you're looking after yourself who cares what you look like. Everyone's bodies are naturally different anyway!
