My MissGuided Gorgeous Dress Picks Lacy, Girly & Sexy

I follow the online retail shop miss guided on facebook and am always mesmorized by their gorgeous dresses at such a cheap price.

Why pay £400 for a dress for a night out when a) its probably dark so people can't see it 100% b) it will no doubt get something spilled on it and c) as soon as it is worn it will disappear back in your cupboard for a month??

So with this in mind I have chosen my Miss Guided ladies dresses picks. If only I could have them all, or even one would be nice :-)

Dazia lace skater dress £29.99 | Abrienda Lace cut dress £44.99 | Gisa Neon Skater Dress £22.99
I love the lace in these dresses and the skater, casual but sassy style. The love belt is also super cute with the neon dress which is actully in the Miss Guided TV advert.

Karry Long Sleeve Dress £14.99 | Ahsia Cut Out Dress £21.99

I really like the Ahsia dress with the cut out shoulders. L'agence did a similar cut out shoulder styled top. I think it is casual enough to wear in the spring during the day. I am also loving the below the knee fitted dresses this season.

Kinetra Mesh Panel Dress £28.99 | Vany Leather Contrast Dress £32.99

These are a few sexier styles perfect for a first date or a night out. I love the Vany leather contrast dress. Again the below the knee length makes it look really classy. A very similar style to the Stella Mccartney dresses last season.

What do you think ladies, will you be buying any of these gorgeous missguided dresses?

The Best Top Coat Clear Shiny Nail Varnish Ever!

I have been searching for years to find the best clear nail varnish and have tried so many. Some peel off, chip, aren't shiny enough, have horrible brushes, are cheap, expensive and the list goes on.

I came to the conclusion it is bloody difficult to find a good one, are you with me girls?

So when I happened across this one I had to share it!

First of all the price of this is very good. I paid £2.99 from Boots which I think is an absolute bargain.

Collection 2000 Lasting Nail Colour

The reason I chose to try this particular clear polish was because of the shape of the brush. Notice it is a rectangle shape rather than the norm which is narrower at the top end then tapers out.  I find the shape of this brush so much easier to use it really makes a huge difference to application.

See below on the left is the Collection 2000 brush and the right is an OPI nail polish brush. Notice the tapered top of the OPI brush.

I find I get a much more even and far easier application with the Collection 2000 brush.

The next thing I look for in a good clear polish is the shininess. Of course you need a nice shine but nothing too OTT (Over The Top) I still want it to look fairly natural.

This polish delivers very well. See below for before and after. This is one coat.

Au Natural Before Left | After Right
You can see below how it fairs as a top coat polish. It makes the nail look a lot shinier. One coat of each polish.

With Polish Before Left | After Right

Another good point to note is that it doesn't peel. Over all I love this polish. Hence why I have added it to my 'Must Have' list. It really is the best clear top coat nail varnish I have ever found and it is cheap! Bonus!

Has anyone else got a secret top coat polish they love?

My top 5 Beauty Favourites of All Time

Hi all, so.... I thought it was about time that I showed you some of my absolute favourite beauty products. I have tried a lot in my time as a model always picking up recommendations from make up artists and products used on me. I have composed a list of my all time favourites - a beauty hall of fame if you will! ha ha

So Starting with...

 Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser
I absolutely love this product. It has never irritated my skin. It is soft, smells divine and lasts an aboslute age!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer
This is actually my all time favourite concealer. It covers a multitude of sins and lasts for hours and hours. I really like the texture too, it doesn't cake and I believe it is suitable for any age (my mum uses it too).

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation
Again with the double wear I know! But it really is fantastic. The longest wearing foundation I have ever tried. It lasts so long and this too gives incedibly good coverage.

La Roche Possay Effaclar Duo
Everybody has been raving about this one and for a reason. It really is fantastic. I had awful dry skin this winter and this is the only thing that cleared it up. With no irritation at all. I noticed a difference after using it for 3 days.

Chanel Lipstick in Fire
I think every girl should have at least one Chanel lipstick & one bright red lipstick in their makeup collection. Well killing 2 birds with one stone is my Chanel lipstick in Fire! I adore the colour. It lasts for the whole night and doesn't rub off or smudge. I have actually had this for a few years and it still has a lot left.

So that's it my top 5 all time beauty fave's... whats yours?

Want to know what it's Really like to be a model? Victoria's Secret model Cameron Russell Speaks & My Views

Victoria's Secret model Cameron Russell has recently spoken very honestly at a Ted conference about modelling.

It is extremely rare to hear a model, especially one who is at the peak of their career, speak so openly about modelling in this way. For the most part it is known that you don't say negative comments about people or situations in the industry, the fear is that it will lead you to miss out on jobs and that people wont hire you. So to hear this is a breath of fresh air and desperately needed.

How many models have you heard of say anything negative about their industry?

In fact I believe we need a lot more of the truth so that all these young girls who dream of being models at least know the reality of the industry and not just the dream and image presented to them.

Maybe then they will choose another career option or at least they will not be so unhappy and surprised when they realise that being on the cover of a newspaper doesn't cure your insecurity or give you a ticket to lifelong happiness. That the smiling model they see in Marie Claire looking so perfect and happy is a creation and not a reality.

Cameron even chose to show pictures of herself in 'reality' next to pictures 'created' at certain times in her life. See below:

Cameron Russell pictures used at Ted

As a girl who has also modelled for nearly 10 years and faced some awful situations and blows to my self esteem and confidence I felt what she had to say was very powerful. I think it is so important to separate 'reality' from advertising and composed images.

I agree, seeing yourself in an advert doesn't often make you beem with excitement and joy but it can make you critise yourself and look at ways you could look better. Partly because there are often people telling you these things so you get used to thinking that way about yourself. The unsaid when you don't land the job you casted for, thinking why? Was it my hair, my nose, my stomach.  You feel like you aren't good enough.

"I am insecure because I have to think about what I look like everyday. If you are ever wondering if I have thinner thighs and shinnier hair will I be happier? You just need to meet a group of models because they have the thinnest thighs and the shinniest hair and the coolest clothes and they are the most physically insecure women probably on the planet" - Cameron Russell

One thing I really hated was castings and always will. I was self conscious, shy and very naiive. You can't help but sit and compare yourself to the other girls waiting to go in. If somebody said something about the way I looked I took it very personally and believed what the 'authority' figure said. If you want that career you don't have any choice you can't say well F**k them I think I look great because you want the job so badly. You need it to survive.

Being fearless is being honest and here is me being honest.

Modelling isn't for everyone sure it can be good to hear your friends and family praise you and say how good you looked but when you don't feel it yourself it doesn't make much difference. In your head you know those aren't the people who are going to give you your next pay cheque. The sad thing is that when my family would tell me I was looking too thin I would think to myself, yes maybe here but not in 'my' world (the modelling world).

Pic Left me messing around | Right LA fashion week

It can be demoralising and lonely. Sure there have been times that I have enjoyed. When you are on the catwalk and everyone is looking at you and taking pictures you feel powerful and special. Those are the moments in between.

I am proud of what I have done but if I have a daughter one day and she wants to be a model I don't think I would be jumping out of my chair in excitement.

See the speech here

I Would love to hear your thoughts on this ladies x
