SOMETHING FROM MY WARDROBE - Jeans Spotlight

I thought I would do a post to show you something from my wardrobe! 

I have had a passion for jeans brands since I started modelling for Rock & Republic over 5 years ago.

I love knowing about all the different fits and styles. It is a science all on its own. There are so many brands and prints to keep up with and I enjoy finding out about them all.

A few of my favourite brands are J Brand, Current Elliott and Hudson.

The pair I am showcasing today is the Current Elliott Rider legging.

I actually ended up modelling the Rider Legging for Donna Ida, this was after I had bought a pair :-) Here I am below

I fell in love with these after trying them on. They are super long, must be a 36inch inside leg which is amazing because I have pretty long legs so as soon as I find a pair that are this long I am over joyed!

I also love the colour. It is a lovely red and the dark stripe down the side gives a slimming illusion to your legs.  I like wearing them with my leopard print trainers :-)

Another bonus about these beauties is that they are super comfy and very stretchy!!

They have been spotted on Fashion Icon Olivia Palmero. It looks like she has had them taken up so they sit on her ankle which looks very chic.

HOW TO - Easy Fun Stripey Manicured Nails Tutorial

I was looking for a new fun and easy manicure to try and thought I would try out using tape and messing around to see what happened. I love how simple this is and creates a really different look everytime!


It is as easy as 1,2,3... errr 4,5,6,7 :-)

How To
1. Paint your nails with your first colour, 2 coats is best and leave to dry for at least an hour.
2. Once dry cut different width sized strips of masking tape, surgical tape of the invisible type tape would work too.
3. Make sure you have plenty of strips for all your nails as I didn't and found it very difficult to cut more while not smudging my already painted nails... oops!
4. Cover all your nails on one hand with the strips in the chosen patterns you like.
5. Paint over your nails with 2 coats leaving 2minutes inbetween coats.
6. Carefully remove the strips from left to right or top to bottom depending which way you applied them. This is very important or they may smudge.
7.Once all the strips are off remove any excess polish with remover and apply a top coat!!

and you are done -) 

There you have it some cool and easy stripey nails!!!

HOW TO - Get a Marbled Manicure The Easy Way Using Cling Film!

I have seen this manicure on a few people and wanted to give it a try myself. It was suppose to be really easy so I didn't see that much could go wrong.

Well the first time I tried it I didn't wait long enough for my 1st colour to dry as I was excited ha! So when I applied the 2nd coat and tried to marble it with the cellophane, the colours just smudged together in to a mess... booo!

So the first thing is to make sure you leave your bottom colour for at least a few hours to dry properly. The longer you wait the better!

How To

1. Choose your nail polish colours and make sure you have cling film.
2. Paint your nails with your first colour. Two coats and a top coat is best.
WAIT WAIT WAIT <--- The golden rule!
3. Take your second colour and do this nail by nail. Paint your 1st nail 
4. Straight away after painting use the cling film and either scrunch it up a bit and blot it on to the wet nail or use an uncrumbled peice and lay it on top and then pull it off. I found the second method worked best for me.
5. Use nail varnish to remove any excess + apply a clear top coat!

Et Voila!

REVIEW - Aveda Tourmaline Charged Hydrating Creme

I will start off by saying that I love Aveda. I go to a spa and hairdresser which use Aveda products and that has turned me in to becoming somewhat obsessed with their products.

Athough I have been using their products for some time this is my very first Aveda review!!

So here we go...

First of all when I initially found out the price of this hydrating moisturiser I thought compared to some other moisturisers it was quite expensive. At £34 for 50ml it definitely is not cheap. However due to my love of the products (I had just finished getting an amazing facial featuring this product) and the beautician said it would last for quite a while, I decided to give it a go.

I really like the box packaging. The green colour gives it an earthy natural look and feel which makes me like it even more.

Open the box and you are greated with a lovely little green screw top tub. It opens and closes easily and seals well to keep the product fresh. The Creme itself is a beautiful white colour.

The Cream is really lovely and thick. It smooths on very well and absorbs in to the skin quickly. There is no residue after a few minutes even if I slather on a very generous amount. It feel lovely between your fingers and is very silky.

The smell is divine. It smells very natural and refreshing. Quite strong but I like it.

 I like to apply it generously and allow it to absorb without rubbing in to much. This works best for me. It is definitely a suitable base for make up. It may not fill in any lines but it leaves your skin feeling incredibly silky and has somewhat stopped the drying effects from my foundations.

My skin was particularly dry this winter and this deffinitely helped combat the dryness particularly on my cheeks.

I would say this Aveda Tourmaline charged hydrating creme is suitable for normal to dry skin types. 

I have sensitive skin and on a scale of 1-10 this irritated my skin at level 1. I say this because on a few occassions when I was very stressed I found my skin was extra sensitive and this did cause it to itch slightly after applying. Nothing serious but I would choose to use something else at these times.

 I was a little disappointed that this creme did not last longer. I bought it on the 22nd November 2012 and I ran out at the begining of January. I used it twice a day for the first 3 weeks and then sporadically after that. So overall I would say it would have lasted for a month had I carried on using it morning and night. So that would be £34 a month. A little espensive for me. I do love the product and will buy it again in the future but I think I will try some other products in the mean time.

OUTFIT POST - Bright Juicy Colours To Make You Smile

I love how different colours can effect your mood. In spring/summer the sun isn't the only thing that can brighten your day.

So here is my 2nd outfit post :-) Featuring some more spring ready colours.

Juicy Couture orange bomber jacket £170

The jacket is super cute and really comfy. It also keeps you warm which is good as the temperature is still pretty low.

Juicy Couture racer back tank £60

I like oversized t-shirts. I think they look great with skinny jeans and most of all your don't have to worry what the state of your stomach is. This particular Juicy one is a racer back, so looks really cool with a bright bra or even a boob tube underneath.

Zara ripped Jeans £25

These jeans I am totally in love with unfortunately they rip really easily and now have a huge hole in the knee where I put my foot through while getting them on, so I'm trying to figure out what to do with them.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Denim Neo Cabby

My trusty Louis. This is one of my main bags, as it goes with almost anything. It is really comfortable to wear with its shoulder strap and handles. Because of its subtle print and colour it doesn't scream 'Louis Vuitton' like a lot of others bags do.

Topshop iPhone Purse £15

This is a great little purse. Keeps you iPhone well protected from getting damaged by anything else laying around in your bag. It also has space for a few bank cards and some money. I think on reflection £15 is a lot to pay as it isn't real leather and other shops do them cheaper.

Matalan Ankle boots £19

I adore these ankle boots and have worn them to death. Nobody believed me when I told them they were from Matalan and I wish I had bought 2 pairs as they get damaged quite easily. They look great with a dress too.

MOST WANTED - The Outnet February Favourites! J'adore!!

I love theoutnet.com you find such great deals on there. It is a fantastic designer discount website. Even when I can't afford it I find myself searching through making shopping lists :-) You never know when you might come in to some cash!! Ha ha.

And here is my list for February :-)

First of all I aboslutely adore the Joseph heart jumper. So cute. I have a love for over sized comfy jumpers and this is just perfect. I want it so much.

The army green coat is also by Joseph and is to die for. So classy. Slip this on with a pair of indigo denim skinny jeans and these Giuseppe Zanotti army green shoes and you are good to go. I love a military look... gorg!

With tartan week coming up and me being Scottish I had to include this delightful McQ by Alexander McQueen weekend bag. They also do purses and smaller bags in this print which are also super cute.

How about this Lulu & Co feather dress. It is so different. Perfect for a spring wedding don't you think?
