Luxury Shopping Event Aberdeen Chester Hotel

I was kindly invited to attend a ladies luxury shopping evening at the new and fabulous Chester hotel in Aberdeen. Oh I couldn't possibly... Oh ok go on then ;-)

The event was being held by Multrees walk in Edinburgh, bringing their exclusive stores to the ladies of Aberdeen. Oh what a fabulous idea!

There were manicures by Nails inc, jewellery by Links of London. Who, by the way, gave us a FREE bracelet with an engraving of our choice, how nice is that? I chose 'Beautiful' because I think it is important to remind ourselves we are beautiful inside and out.  My cousin chose to have a special date engraved, which I think is a lovely idea :-)  There were also chocolates from the chocolatier to the queen and then there was Harvey Nichols.

Harvey Nic's brought a selection of shoes, garments and bags that you could actually buy on the evening.  Christian Louboutin shoes or Victoria Beckham dresses anyone? I sort of fell in love with a beautiful deep green Celine bag.

Mulberry were there too with the brand new and exclusive Cara Delevingne collection of beautiful bags and clutches.

I believe they will be holding more events like this in the future so ladies of Aberdeen keep your eyes peeled! It is an evening you don't want to miss.

Event | Leighton Denny Masterclass at Pure Spa Aberdeen

I was really excited to be invited to Pure Spa in Aberdeen for a look around and a master class with Leighton Denny's right hand man, Nat.  I had walked past the Spa as it is situated in the Union Square shopping centre but I had never actually been in to it before.

We arrived at 8pm to some nibbles and fruit juice or champagne (I went for the fruit juice). Said a quick hello to some fellow bloggers. Then it was on to a nosey around the spa. Which looks deceptively small from the outside.

There are 5 beauty treatment rooms and 6 spa therapy rooms with a range of treatments like pedicures, facials, sculpting body wraps and even cellulite and colon therapy (which I would love to try, not!).  They also have a treatment involing an infra-red sauna. This is apparently the modern way to detox with the infra-red rays penetrating the lower levels of the skin to rid the body of toxins, burning up to 800 calories in a single sesson. Which is a mere £10 for 30 minutes... surely worth a try?!
Next it was on to the Leighton Denny Masterclass! Nat was super lovely and very approachable. He gave us a little talk to begin with to introduce us to the brand, if unlike me you had never really heard of them before, it was very helpful!

Nat showed us some amazing nail creations using Leighton Denny Polishes. I actually learned quite a lot and got some new ideas for layering polishes! He gave us some great tips on nail care too which I will pop in to another post.

I learned Leighton Denny are a great brand with an emphasis on nail care. They have some fab treatments to get your nails in tip top condition, which I will definitely be looking in to.

So that was it, another fab evening organised by North East Blogger Events.  Off we went with a lovely goody bag including some Ren samples, a Leighton Denny Polish and the new Elemis Cleansing Balm.

It was great to see some of these lovely bloggers who were also at the event --->

Rachel Glennie from the Honest Type
Laura from Liparazzi Blog
Laura from a Scottish Lass
Rachel from Twenty Something Beauty
Kate from Keeping up with Katie
Louise from The Baking Fashionista

Have you tried any Leighton Denny products before?

Event | Bumble and Bumble Press Day at Tiffany's Hair and Beauty Salon Aberdeen

I was so very kindly invited to get a hair teatment of my choice at the newly refurbished Tiffany Hair and Beauty Salon in Aberdeen, Scotland in conjunction with Bumble and Bumble Hair products. I hummed and haad over what to get done to my hair as I have been thinking about ombre for summer but I settled on a good ol' fashioned cut and blowdry (my hair was definitely in need). I was so excited at the prospect of a little pampering. Plus I am looking for a new hairdresser so this was perfect timing.

When I arrived I was greeted by some very smiley and friendly reception staff. They took my jacket and kindly asked me to sit down, a minute later I was introduced to my hair stylist Elaine who was super duper lovely.

After getting in to the delightful (and attractive) black satin cape I was offered a cup of tea (yes please) and discussed with Elaine what I was looking for. I explained I like my hair to look thick, healthy and I wanted some sort of graduation at the front so I can wear my hair up a la Cheryl Cole in the Call my name Music Video. She really listened which made me feel like I was in safe hands :-)

Now it was time for a lovely shampoo and chat with the lovely lass who was going to wash my hair...

She told me a lot about the Bumble and Bumble products and was very helpful and friendly. Also she gave me a lovely head massage after shampooing (more of that please so relaxing).

The Lovely Laura (Laura Liparazzi I call her after her blog name) was sitting behind me and I was spying on her in the mirror while she received her hair treatment. Her hair is such a gorgeous blonde and so thick (very Jell). Visit her blog here to see for yourself.

During my hair cut Elaine told me all about each product she was using. I really enjoyed this part. Normally hair dressers just do a bit of this and that but don't explain any of it and I am a girl who likes to know stuff!

I was also really interested in some of the hair treatments which Laura had too including the Bumble and Bumble Creme de Coco hair mask. I might just have to get me some of that.

Now the Bumble & Bumble products look and smell lovely. Here are some pics and a run down of what was used on my mop...

 Products Used

Bumble & Bumble let it shine shampoo and conditioner
Bumble & Bumble Prep
Bumble & Bumble Thickening Spray
Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's invisible oil
Bumble & Bumble Semisumo

So... 1 hour later I was feeling super fabulous! I liked everything about my experience from the lovely staff at Tiffany's hair and Beauty to the fab Bumble and Bumble products which have left my hair looking and feeling delightfully thick, bouncy and healthy! Even after 3 days!

So without futher a do I bring to you my before and after...
