REVIEW - Garnier Olia Permanent Hair Colour 7.13 Dark Beige Blonde

My sister was going on a hen weekend and was in need of a quick home hair dye so off she went to the shops and picked up Garnier Olia Permanent Hair Colour in 7.13 Dark Beige Blonde.

She asked me to help her of course I jumped at the chance to spend some good girly time with my sis!!! To be honest I have never dyed my own hair and only ever helped a friend dye theirs once... so she was in good hands... ha! The reality of this didn't dawn on my until I was applying the lotion thinking oh god this could go horribly wrong and there was no time to fix it as she was leaving very early the next morning.  Oh well too late now I thought!!

So I started by reading the little leaflet you get with all the instructions. It gives you a few options in how you apply. 1 being if you are covering grey you apply to roots leave then add remainder of lotion to ends and 2 is apply all over. We chose the second one.

I began to mix the lotions as directed. This is quite easy as the box doubles as a handy bowl holder by having perferated edges that you push out. Very clever. It also comes with gloves which are very necessary for using these lotions and potions.

After the lotion was mixed I applied the bottle lid and began with the top of her hair seperating and apply to roots first then worked my way down the back of her head and lasty applied to the ends.

The lotion is a good consistency, it doesn't run everywhere or have an awful smell. In fact it didn't smell of much only towards the 30 minutes being up did the smell become stronger.

Presto!! Now all thats left is wait 30 minutes and pray I have covered it evenly.

After lotion application - waiting 30 mins
After 30 minutes I give her hair a little massage as directed then rinsed the lotion out. I then applied the supplied conditioner and rinsed thoroughly.

The results are in....

My sis is very happy with her hair. It looks very healthy and shiny and is a lovely natural colour with various tones. It really looks lovely. She said she will be buying this dye again so thumbs up!!!

What do you think?
