Serious Hair Envy!

Hi-diddle-ho-there!

Today is a little post about some major hair envy I have going on. I mean we all get it right? Surely it is not just me (eeep I hope not). It is that feeling when you spot another gals hair and you get a twinge in your stomach and your mind goes "ahhh that bi***, she has better hair than me"...

Anyhooo after some serious pinning I have come up with a couple of hair inspo boards, here and here. I love to pin ideas of hair that I would love to have one day (or maybe never) but they just makes me go ahhhh ooooh wow! You know the kind of hair I mean?

So here is a wee collection of what you can find on my pinterest. Feel free to pop on over and have a browse. Also if you are a pinner winner like me then leave you username in the comments section below!!

Well there is not really much else to say peepers so I will leave you with these dreamy hair do's, enjoy the rest of your weekend oh gorgeous ones!

What hair do is your fave?

My Thoughts | Healthy Female Role Models

Recently I have been feeling a lot of pressure to go to the gym, eat right, look 'perfect' you know the usual. And although I am slim I think that no matter what size you are most women are critical of their body shape. Due to my circumstances at the moment it is harder for me to exercise and be the shape I usually am so I am being really hard on myself. But you know what.. I deserve a break!

It is ok to work out and eat right to be a certain size as long as it is healthy and as long as your attitude is healthy. If you start thinking that you are only ok with yourself if you are a particular size and anything else means that you are not ok with yourself, I personally don't think this attitude is particularly healthy. It doesn't leave you any wiggle room and quite frankly means a lot of the time you will have low confidence and be unhappy with yourself. Constantly feeling pressure to remain the same or get back in to your jeans. I just feel that this is not a recipe for a happy life.

So with this in mind I started searching for some inspirational  pictures of women and to my horror all I came across were hundreds of posts supposedly for 'inspiration' with pictures of women like this. Please note that I have intentionally not included this picture in my post and linked it instead because I don't want it associated with my post.

After seeing all these pictures it just made me feel worse about myself. And I did not want to do a post with pictures like that. I mean how is that suppose to make you feel better, seeing pictures of woman with immaculately tones figures, super flat stomachs and the pertest bottoms you have ever seen?

Because, I want to remind myself that I don't have to be stick thin or perfectly toned to be beautiful and being what ever way I am is beautiful and feminine! Even if that means love handles and tighter than normal jeans. Ask a man what he thinks is more attractive and he will undoubtedly say the females below.

So I want to share with you my inspirations of beautiful women who I think look amazing!

>Please note that these are just a selection of women who I think have beautiful bodies. I am not saying you have to be this size or that size to be beautiful, women of all sizes are undoubtedly beautiful! I also want to add that I am not saying the woman in the picture I linked to is not ok the way she is, I am saying for me that is not a healthy size or aspiration for my body.

Love Always

What I miss about Modelling and My Inspirations to Start Again

When I younger a lot of people use to tell me I should be a model. I suppose because I was rather skinny and tall. (Both aspects of myself that I hated during that time) So to be told I could use these things to an advantage sounded like a fantastic idea.

I started trawling the internet spending hours and hours looking for ways to get in to it. The first photoshoot I did I was so nervous. I had no idea what to do, it was for a modelling agency in Aberdeen. A couple of weeks after the shoot they sent me a letter rejecting me from their agency. I still have this letter. I was so upset but I wasn't ready to give up. It was hard work and lots of travelling back and forth from Scotland to London. For a long time I worked 2 jobs and modelled so I could afford the train fairs to get to London. I had to tell agents and photographers that I lived in London or they wouldn't book me. So when I got a call about a job often I had to jump on the train the next day to make the 7hr journey to get to London.

Eventually I moved to London when I was about 19.  I travelled, spent a lot of time in LA and New York. Worked for Victoria Beckham who told me she saw my pictures in OK magazine and thought they were amazing.

The reasons I stopped modelling I don't want to get in to as it is pretty upsetting for me but I feel like I have unresolved matters with modelling that I am not quite finished with it. That I want to end it on my own terms and give it one more go.

In 2012 I started doing a little bit of modelling again, a few photoshoots. The first one was awful, my confidence was so low. I hated every minute of it, I was uncomfortable, nervous, self concious and afterwards felt like I had totally forgotten how to do it all.  Then came the 2nd which went a bit better and the 3rd was ok although I still felt totally 'out of the loop'.

This time I want to take it slowly and not do things I am uncomfortable with. This time I know it isn't life or death and will do it to be proud of myself.  This time I will do it for myself and NOBODY else.  This time I will do it my way.

I am not quite ready to get back in to the industry as I still feel I am very fragile. Hopefully sooner rather than later I think it is worth a try. If I don't I think I may regret it.

I would like to do more commercial modelling like catalogues and online retailers like misguided.co.uk or boohoo.com I feel like these would be far safer options to start with and see how I go.

Maybe doing some proper shoots for my blog is a good idea too... what do you think?
